Personal Psychotherapy Practice

& Women's Stress Consultancy & Counselling

Weather permitting, and when it feels ideal for a particular session, we might take therapy outdoors and Oliver ther Therapy dog would come too, or sometimes outdoor therapy may be what you start doing every session from the start as this would suit some people better than the usual therapy arrangement indoors.

I live and work very close to a riverside and so this tends to be where we would go.   It might be just a session n the bench by the river or we may walk and talk on a particular route alongside the river.

At times it has been important to accompany clients to events as part of the therapy session where support in a situation seemed appropriate.  For example. attending a shopping centre to learn how to cope and reduce anxiety or attend other various activites when stepping out is part of dealing with social anxiety or agrophobia..

Even if we do not venture outside, I do use the ideas from Eco-Therapy style to inform some of my Psychotherapy.

Sometimes, I form a regular group of people to take a short walk up to an hour long and this usually takes place on a Saturday afternoon.
