An identity crisis can present in all kinds of ways from a mid life crisis at any age to a general feeling of not knowing who you are any more. The way you feel this can vary from mild to severe and can involve altered behaviours that are sometimes considered out of character or it may just be going on inside of you.
Interally this could be experienced as a sense of unreality when with others or a sense of feeling unattached or dissassociated or some depression, anxiety or general internal turmoil. It might be that nothing seems to tick your boxes any more and things you normally liked are now not interesting including some relationships with others.
In therapy we explore who you are using techniques that bring to light any smouldering desires for change and personal feelings around what it is and what you want, who you were, how you got to be here and what makes a difference to that. Moving forward your selse of self into your future while feeing more in touch and together with yourself and others.
